Jasmine McGlade

Jasmine McGlade is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans film, sculpture, installation, and painting. She holds a degree in Visual and Environmental Studies (Art and Film) from Harvard University. Her work has shown internationally in solo and group exhibitions, is held in public collections, and has been featured in publications including The New York Times, Film Comment, and Artforum. She has received fellowships and served as an invited speaker, guest lecturer, and juror, with recent engagements including Oxford University and Cookie Factory. Recent publications of her artwork include The Harvard Advocate and the Vassar Review. In 2026, Jasmine was invited to create a large-scale sculpture and performance work for LACMA's Art Parade, co-curated by Jeffrey Deitch and presented at Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Earlier this spring, McGlade abridged and directed a staged reading of Chekhov’s The Seagull at Bel Ami Gallery, followed by a showing of her sculptures related to the text at The Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. As a filmmaker, McGlade executive produced Academy Award–winning La La Land, and helped develop Oscar-winning Whiplash. As a writer and director, she has worked with companies including Netflix and Amazon MGM Studios, and has directed music videos for Atlantic Records, Dualtone, and Yep Roc Records.
