Seidel City is pleased to present Pictures from Russia, No Collusion, featuring photographs by Christopher Makos and Paul Solberg. Please join us for an opening reception Saturday, September 14, beginning at 6:30 pm with a talk by Ukranian arts advocate Luba Michailova. Artists will be in attendance.

With the emergence of the new world order and the shifting of both political and social norms, one thing that still remains a constant is a person's need for love. Whomever, wherever one is, the need for home, friendship, and love remains a constant in a world full of turmoil and misunderstanding. Christopher Makos and Paul Solberg will be showing photographs from recents trips to Russia, which show the normalcy between cultures regardless of political persuasions. learn more

Luba Michailova (Ukraine) is the founder of IZOLYATSIA, a non-profit, multidisciplinary platform for contemporary culture in Ukraine. The foundation's mission is to inspire positive change by using culture as an instrument in art, research, and projects geared at activating Ukraine's creative sector. Her collection featured site-specific commissions produced through IZOLYATSIA. A significant part of the collection was lost during the military seizure of IZOLYATSIA's premises in Donetsk by the pro-Russian separatists in June 2014. Luba Michailova is a member of the Tate Russia and Eastern Europe Acquisitions Committee and member of the Expert Council for Contemporary Art at the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
